I have severe fibromyalgia. Cannabis has not only made my life more bearable, but has given me a ton of relief from the complications of my disorder, and given me back a lot of physical freedoms I took for granted. I love cannabis and it will be a part of my life for as long as I am able to consume it. That's what Best Buds means to me.

Making unabashedly positive cannabis art has its implications because we live in a society still slowly shifting away from alcohol as the mainstay for relaxation or celebration. I very rarely drink. I can't remember the last time I had a glass of wine, and I had one gluten-free beer last summer. I really have no desire for it, so it's strange to me to live in an alcohol-majority culture where it is an almost completely acceptable substance but high functioning individuals who use cannabis, even for legitimate comfort reasons, are stigmatized as lazy. It's odd, but the idea is slowly meeting challenges in perception by more and more people in the United Sates. I believe it will only continue to get better provided education on the subject of cannabis continues to get better.
