The Triggerman is the last surviving member of an alien species known as the Globuluns. A stray chunk of meteor destroyed his disc-shaped planet along with every Globulun on it. He alone managed to escape on an experimental research space vessel outfitted to cultivate and support the centerpiece of Globulun society: a line of sentient mushrooms that act as both Globulun companions and their food source (when they die naturally of old age).
Globuluns live extremely long lives. The Triggerman wandered space for ages looking for a suitable planet to turn into a new home for his crop. Over the course of time the isolation and stress drove him mad, having only thousands upon thousands of mushrooms to talk to while he wandered the galaxies. He was quite insane by the time he eventually found our planet Earth.
Thrilled to find the environment was a near perfect match for his survivability, he ran some recon missions and realized he would need to be careful about making a more permanent situation here. He spent several days in a remote location, watching and analyzing his surroundings, until he wandered upon a remote American military base.
He spied on the fortified location for several days until he saw and fell in love with a tank. He stole the vehicle in the dead of night, realizing its potential for his very specific needs. After some re-engineering and replacements it was ready to serve him. Using his ship as a base of operations, The Triggerman now spends all his time and energy traveling the planet and seeing to it that his fungi friends are transported, protected, and literally launched into every corner of our world.
