”The Psyclops” is part of a series known as “The Department of Psychological Operations”, an end-to-end production of my own creation. The intent was to create designs in the style of PSYOPS morale patches, but with countercultural messages of individuality and freedom of thought.
Psyclops is the mascot of the Machine Cloud Dept. of Psyops, and is here to remind us that we must periodically “break open our heads” in order to examine and do away with thoughts and beliefs that do not align with rationality or our actualized selves. We must be wary of implanted systems of thinking that convince us to lead lives and pursue paths that are contrary to our own interests and autonomy. By taking responsibility for how we think about the world we are less susceptible to those influences that would steer us away from our true selves.
