The Department of Psychological Operations is an end-to-end production of my own creating. The initial idea was to create designs in the style of PSYOPS military morale patches, originally for embroidered patches and enamel pins. I decided to make some prints and this was the result. I created them in the style of blotter art prints because one of the main influences for this project came from a period where the federal government secretly seized and tested an entire shipment of blotter art prints I had ordered for my collection from England. They came back perfectly legal, of course, but that didn’t stop them from punching holes in every single print. Under the Watchful Eye, indeed!
